In 2003, Judy married her fellow colleague of 6 years at QVC, Paul Deasy. Together, they accepted hosting positions at HSN, the Home Shopping Network, and relocated to broadcast from their studios in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Crowell has always been a strong advocate of women’s issues both in her community and through her wellness shows on the shopping channels. In 1987, she was cited by Outstanding Young Women of America, an organization that honors women for humanitarian and charitable efforts, for her career accomplishments and community leadership. Upon receiving this award, Crowell was listed in the book, Outstanding Young Women of America. Judy has volunteered at hospitals since her Candy-Striper days at the age of 16. She is part of a Sorority Alumnae Association called Kappa Kappa Gamma which helps raise money for community needs and for underprivileged students who, otherwise, wouldn’t have the opportunity to receive a college education. Judy also belongs to The Junior League, another fund-raising organization satisfying community needs for children and less-fortunate families.
